What education do chiropractors have?
Chiropractors attend 3-4 years of undergraduate training before attending chiropractic college. Chiropractic college is a 4 year graduate level program consisting of training in the basic sciences (anatomy, physiology, neurology) and in clinical sciences (differential diagnosis, chiropractic technique). Chiropractors must also pass a 4 part national chiropractic examination before applying for licensure.
Once I start coming, do I have to come forever?
Our goal is to get you back to your life as quickly as possible. We treat and fix the root cause, then give you exercises and ways to prevent the issue from coming back.
I have a disc herniation, can Performance Sport & Spine still help me?
Low back disc herniations are present in the symptomatic population 90% of the time. Unfortunately, disc herniations are also present in 28-50% of the asymptomatic population. The presence of a disc herniation does not always correlate with your symptoms. Correcting movement dysfunctions and muscle imbalances can usually help alleviate your pain.
Do I need a referral to see someone at Performance Sport & Spine?
You do not need a referral to see us, but we do encourage collaboration with any providers you are currently seeing.
Are you going to take an X-ray of my spine?
X-rays are not necessary for most conditions that we see. If your condition requires an X-ray, we will refer you to an imaging center.
Should I get imaging before seeing someone at Performance Sport & Spine?
